2.5 - 3 hours by car (including a short ferry ride from Naranjo) Witness the incredible spectacle of an "arribada," a mass nesting of Olive Ridley sea turtles, at Ostional Wildlife Refuge. This protected area is one of the most important nesting sites for these turtles in the world. While arribadas are most frequent during the rainy season (August-December), turtles nest year-round.
